Summary:
Coach Prunty started coaching high school softball at Field High School in 1985. His first year the team progressed to the District Final versus Tallmadge where his team was defeated 1-0. His team competed in the Suburban League and was very competive and then went to the Portage County League where his team won four straight league championships. Over the four year period his team won 53 games and lost 1. His pitcher Amy Cheney  won 92 games during her career and set  a record for the number of wins in the State of Ohio.
Coach Prunty left Field High School to coach at Barberton High School in 1995. At Barberton his team in 2005 won the WRC Championship in a three way tie with Hudson and Stow. The team record that year was 20 wins and 4 loses. Barberton left the WRC and entered the Suburban League where they are presently a member.
His overall record is 318 wins and 235 losses.
